What Do You Do When You Feel Like You Can't Do 'IT' Anymore?

  • You know you are damn good at what you do
  • You have studied long and hard to gain your skills
  • Your passion is your work and, your life
  • You feel a deep responsibility for the people you serve and work with
  • You know your business works in a competitive, and sometimes unforgiving environment
  • You know who you are and proud that you have come through some tough challenges to get to where you are today.

But you are feeling burnt out, and wondering if you need to have a change of profession.

Why is it that you feel like you can't do IT anymore? What can you do about it? The answer may surprise you.

This isn't necessarily about quitting what you are doing. It's about utilizing the wonderful inner gifts you have that you have used to create amazing changes on a personal, professional and spiritual level daily.

Burnout is supposed to happen to other people, right?

Your in the helping professions, you help people like this every day. You have the skills and know what your doing.....for others. After all, many people depend on your skills, you clients, your partner, your children, friends and family.

But, do you ever feel like it would be nice to be totally selfish and have a conversation that is just about your stuff? One where you don't have to listen to the other person's story and 'share', to get your challenges aired? Taking as long as it takes to get to the bottom of what's bugging you, and find answers that help you stay true to your purpose.

I know I did, at the time I was facing (what in hindsight was) my burnout, I needed to have someone to really listen without judgment, or a conflict of interest.
